Libby's House specializes in therapeutic person-centered care for individuals with memory impairment including younger on-set Alzheimer's Disease.
To encourage and facilitate socializing between residents and guests, Libby's House has an abundance of places to socialize, including sunroom, living room with fireplace and large flat screen TV, family room, activity room, dining room, a private dining room and a gated courtyard.
Daily activities include: devotions, exercises, and a variety of therapeutic programming all designed to help engage the mind, body and spirit, ensuring meaningful days for each resident.
Residents enjoy home cooked meals three times a day and are offered nutritious snacks and beverages throughout the day.
For extra pampering, Libby's House has a full service hair salon and spa tub room.
Staff-to-resident ratios at Libby's House are better than most other facilities, assuring your loved ones are provided ample individualized attention and care.
Residents receive 24/7 compassionate care by highly-trained staff.
Our staff utilizes the most current care-giving techniques to diffuse any aggravation and stress that those with dementia often experience, creating a calm environment for all.
Libby's House staff provides a variety of personal care including: medication management programs, as well as help with dressing, feeding, bathing and toileting.
Libby's House partners with other organizations to provide services such as labs, podiatry, pharmacy, therapy, home health and hospice.

Resident Rooms

All resident rooms and suites have their own private bathroom and shower with pull down chair.
Libby's House suites are designed for individuals wishing to have more apartment type living, or for couples to live together even if they have different healthcare needs.
Each room has a basic cable service and phone jack (phone service not included) and individual climate control.
Residents are encouraged to bring their own belongings (bed, furniture, decorations) to make their private rooms in Libby's House "home sweet home," and it also provides residents with a sense of familiarity and security in a new environment.

Safety

Doors are secured by a keyless entry. As this is our residents' home, they are afforded the same privacy and security as if they were in a private residence. No one wanders about the community without staff awareness. This security provides peace of mind to all.
Libby's House has a wide corridor, with handrails, that goes safely around the building for easy navigation.
Libby's House is a one-story building, thereby avoiding dangerous stairs and elevators. This also promotes independence with mobility and success with memory.
Libby's House has been designed with a soundless call system that activates staff pagers. By eliminating disruptive bells, buzzers and beeps, our residents and visitors are assured a calm and peaceful environment.
Emergency call systems are in place via personal pendants for all residents and pull-cords located in all bathrooms.
To aid residents with vision impairment or time of day confusion, Libby's House is light-filled with large windows throughout.

Respite Services

Libby's House may offer respite services, pending availability, for as little as a weekend or as much as 28 days. This provides caregivers with a respite and enables them to take trips or just get a break from caregiving. During this time, their loved one receives all the benefits of Libby's House, including nutritious meals, therapeutic programming, medication management and all needed personal care.
